Laws and regulations

Below you will find the statutes and rules of the Icelandic Association of Physiotherapists, which form the basis for the organization and operations of the association. Also published here are the rules of procedure of the committees and other relevant documents concerning the internal work, roles and responsibilities within the association.

The goal is to ensure transparency, professionalism and consistent practices for the benefit of members and the development of physiotherapy in Iceland.

The Code of Ethics of the Icelandic Association of Physiotherapists was approved at the inaugural meeting of the renewed Icelandic Association of Physiotherapists, on December 10, 2012.

The Scientific Fund's Rules of Procedure The Scientific Fund's Rules of Procedure were approved at the association's annual meeting on February 17, 2014.

The Statutes of the Icelandic Association of Physiotherapists in Geriatric Care The statutes of the Icelandic Association of Physiotherapists in Geriatric Care were reviewed and approved at its annual meeting, March 27, 2014.

The Icelandic Association of Physiotherapists' Psychosocial Health Act was last reviewed and approved at the association's annual general meeting on September 25, 2019.
