  • Independently list 3 of the most important aspects of an injured runner’s assessment
  • Identify 3 interventions that can potentially reduce injury risk and increase performance in a runner
  • Correctly list 3 links between anatomy, biomechanics, strength and injuries
  • Describe 3 different categories of running footwear that are available on the market today
  • Efficiently assess 4 main aspects of running biomechanics of a runner in a clinical setting
  • Implement 3 different running gait retraining interventions to reduce lower limb loading
  • Correctly select the 1 most appropriate treatment approach based on the stage of injury (protection vs. adaptation)
  • Explain the concept of proper mechanical stress quantification to an injured runner
  • Defend 2 pros and 2 cons and list 3 clinical applications of plantar orthoses in runners
  • Correctly prescribe running drills to a runner
  • Efficiently prescribe cross-training and appropriate training modulation based on the 3 specific running injury types (load, repetition, range of motion)
